Side income calculator
What will a side hustle really pay you? Enter your hours and rate, subtract what it costs to run and what you set aside for tax, and see your take-home pay per month. Add a goal to see how many hours it needs.
How the calculation works
Gross income is hours per week times your rate times the weeks you actually work. We default to 46 weeks, because holidays, sick days and slow weeks are real. Yearly costs (twelve times your monthly tools, fees and software) come off first, then the tax percentage is taken from what is left. Your real hourly rate is take-home pay divided by the hours you worked, which is the number to compare with a job.
Tax rules differ by country and situation, so treat the tax percentage as money to set aside, not as advice.
